getting out

Me Myself and Eye

One of the themes of the last few weeks since Natalia made her appearance has been that we have been spending a lot of time indoors. It’s good timing really from her standpoint as she can’t go out, so she might as well be locked up for the coldest time of the year. I’m pleased she is showing herself to be considerate from such an early age.

Anyway. rather than posting a load of pics of us sitting around in our jim-jams watching Dora the Explorer for the Nth time, here are some pictures of our first couple of trips out of the house this past weekend. The temperature got up to the 70s Fahrenheit (that’s 20s Celsius for our overseas friends), so it was positively balmy compared with what we’re used to at this time of year.

Wedding bookings are coming along well for this year. Hope to have some pics from the first one of the season in a few weeks. I still need to catch up on posting some images from 2010 too.

day in/day out
It's been a while since I just went out just shooting random stuff, so after spending the morning working at home, I got to go out and spend some time at the Indianapolis Zoo. My main goal originally was to go and hang out with the butterflies. They have a great selection there, and they are always pretty keen to sit around and pose. Plus the fact they are indoors means there is no wind to deal with, which can be a nightmare if you are trying to shoot macro images. Anyhow, I ventured outside to the gardens (which I had completely forgotten about) and it was a riot of colour. These are some of my fave shots from the day from the gardens. Butte ...

parker j pfister’s french revolution workshop review
Hi everyone! I'm just getting back from a week in an 11th century French château with 11 other photographers having my melon twisted by the amazing, inspiring Parker J Pfister, gentleman, scholar and artistic genius. Those who know me know I love spending time stepping back and recharging my creative and artistic batteries whenever I can and this was a great opportunity to do so surrounded by a group of fellow creatives and professionals. Over the course of 7 days, we dived deep, unpacked our mental luggage, analyzed our artistic selves, dreamt up some crazy visions, learnt new techniques, ran amok through an abandoned abbey, communed with ...
