My dearest y’alls,

How’s it going? Hope you all had a great Independence Day weekend! I’m prepping for a jaunt out to Jamaica to shoot a wedding and I leave right after that for a wedding in Panama, which I will actually be attending sans-camera. Before I left though, I wanted to make sure to share some photos from Rachel and Joe’s beautiful wedding in Wilson and Rocky Mount, NC. As an avid lover of  NC wedding photography, it’s always great to shoot in new locations and it’s even greaterer when the locations are as cool as these and the subjects are so much fun to work with; Rachel and Joe, their friends and family were simply brilliant – love, affection and emotion were all on display in spades. The light outside was gorgeous and we found great light indoors in the most unlikely of places. It was simply a beautiful day and a great day to be a photographer.

As always, big thanks to the team above that made it all happen. High fives to all involved. You all killed it! Special props to Erin for keeping me on my toes with her mad skillz and sense of humour.

Big congrats to Rachel & Joe. Thanks for having me along for the ride, guys!

Enough natter already! Let’s get to the goodies. Here are my faves from the day.

may-lew farm wedding photography – macy & jordan
Macy & Jordan had a gorgeous wedding last month out in the Eastern NC countryside near Farmville. The amazing May-Lew Farm provided the backdrop for the ceremony and reception and the ceremony took place just down the road at the Farmville United Methodist Church.  It was a beautiful day in two amazing locations and a lot of fun was had by all! Here are just a few of my faves from Macy & Jordan's day. Congratulations to the happy couple!!

winmock nc wedding photographer – hallie & cullen
When I'm looking back on the photos and smiling while I'm editing, I know how lucky I am to do what I do for a living. Hallie & Cullen's wedding was such an occasion: a fabulous autumn day at the Winmock at Kinderton with truly special people. I could spend hours gushing about this couple, who are so obviously head over heels in love with each other, the amazing venue, the beautiful weather, the fabulous reception, but I'd rather let the photos speak for themselves. Here are my picks of the pics from their day: Thank you so much, Hallie and Cullen; I ...

winston-salem nc wedding photography – toni & kevin
Toni & Kevin's ceremony and reception have to be amongst the most beautiful weddings I have ever had the pleasure to photograph. The venues, the décor, the lighting, the details, and, of course, the people were all amazing. Everywhere your gaze wandered, there was something beautiful to look at and enjoy. It really was a gorgeous day to be a photographer! I have to give a shout out to Elana and her team at Elana Walker Events for putting together such a great line-up of vendors to deliver such a spectacular event and for looking after Traci and me so well. Everyone involved gets a virtual high-five and free hugs for the rest of this ye ...
