It may have been mid-November, but it was a beautiful warm, sunny day in Pinehurst, NC, for Tera and Brett’s wedding day. I met up with Tera while she was getting ready with her bridesmaids and family in a quaint vintage Airbnb with character to spare. The girls were all abuzz with excitement, and the final reveal of Tera in her dress was really fun to witness and document. The Airbnb was the perfect location for the bride to get ready; its old-world charm and elegant atmosphere added to the ambiance of the day and the garden provided an ideal spot for Tera to have an intimate and emotional first look with her dad.
As Tera & Brett were getting ready, I was getting excited to capture the first look. I had driven down to meet up with the couple a few days before the wedding to scout out locations and we’d agreed on the ideal spot for them to see each other. I was eager to see the look on Brett’s face when he saw his bride for the first time. Brett was waiting at the spot, looking dapper in his tuxedo (and, I’m sure he won’t mind me saying, a little nervous), and when Tera arrived, the look on his face was one of pure emotion and love. The couple hugged and exchanged a few words, and I captured some beautiful images of the two of them together.
From the first look, we took the trolley over to Weymouth Center For The Arts & Humanities for the formal group portraits. I’d also taken Tera & Brett over to this spot to show them what a good place it would be for the family formals and I’m pleased to say it didn’t disappoint. Despite it being autumn, the flower beds were abloom and looked amazing in the light as the sun was setting. We kept things light and fun and knocked out the family pictures as quickly as possible. Afterwards, the bride and groom took a few moments alone for some intimate portraits, and the golden hour light was just perfect for capturing their love and happiness.
The ceremony at the quaint Village Chapel was beautiful and emotional. The couple exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, and the love and happiness in the room was palpable. The couple sealed their love with a kiss and the guests erupted into applause.
The reception was held at the clubhouse at Pinehurst Country Club, and the Outlook Ballroom was decorated beautifully for the occasion. The dinner speeches were touching, with family and friends sharing memories of the couple and wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. The band Night Years rocked the house, and the guests danced the night away.
The love and happiness on show all day long was truly a sight to behold. Tera and Brett’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, and I was honored to be a part of it.
