I’ve been shooting a lot more senior portraits this year so wanted to share with you some photos I took during Abigail’s recent senior session at the picturesque Duke Gardens in Durham, North Carolina. It was an absolute joy capturing this special moment in Abby’s life, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
First off, Duke Gardens – I’m there a lot and it’s for a reason: it’s basically a photographer’s dream come true. The lush greenery, serene water features, and charming architecture provide an incredible backdrop for any session. It’s like nature itself is showing off its beauty.
As soon as I met Abby and her mum, I could tell this session was going to be fun. Her choice of outfits was spot-on, perfectly encapsulating her personality and Indian background whilst also harmonizing with the surroundings and adding a vibrant touch to the shots.
I had a great time photographing Abby and I really think the photos show a lot of the different facets of her personality; from fun-loving to contemplative, you really get a great handle of who Abby is at this stage inter young life.
