day in/day out
day in/day out
It's been a while since I just went out just shooting random stuff, so after spending the morning working at home, I got to go out and spend some time at the Indianapolis Zoo. My main goal originally was to go and hang out with the butterflies. They have a great selection there, and they are always pretty keen to sit around and pose. Plus the fact they are indoors means there is no wind to deal with, which can be a nightmare if you are trying to shoot macro images. Anyhow, I ventured outside to the gardens (which I had completely forgotten about) and it was a riot of colour. These are some of my fave shots from the day from the gardens. Butte ... READ MORE

Last Sunday, I took a trip over to my old stamping grounds in Cincinnati to hang out with some old friends in Ault Park. It was a perfect evening with some gorgeous light from the setting sun catching the blossom. All in all, great lighting, lovely scenery and cool subjects = a recipe for success.     PS - Happy Birthday Drew! 4 today! READ MORE

Brad and Jennie are two of my best friends here in Indy. I met them about three years ago (wow, time flies!), on a night out with some of Lilly's Latino contingent on one of their monthly sushi club outings. Since then, not only have we consumed an ungodly amount of raw fish, beer and plum wine, we have also become great mates. Brad even let me come over and swear loudly at his telly a couple of years ago as I watched England pummeled into defeat by South Africa in the rugby World Cup final. That shows what a top bloke he is. Jennie, on the other hand, is one of those rare ladies that is really gorgeous to look at (Colts cheerleader material ... READ MORE

Yesterday, I had the immense pleasure of sharing my morning with little Abigail and her mum. Abbey was in a great mood, so we got some really nice shots. The only problem was cutting the number of photos down to a manageable number to edit! READ MORE

I went for a walk around the grounds of IMA this morning to scout out for a shoot this weekend. There was no one else around except the groundsmen (and a few robins). The sun shone for about 20 minutes before the clouds drew in. It was great to see the spring flowers out in full force. Finally, looks like the winter is on its way out after what seems like years. This past weekend, I got the chance to go and hang out with this little stunner. She was certainly a natural in front of the camera, which certainly made my life a lot easier. In fact, the only problem I really had was to get her to stop posing! A career in show business beckons I feel! READ MORE
